Remote Control or Smart Phone App
Shades can be operated by a remote or from a mobile device via the Powerview App. The remote can be a handheld or a surface mount.

A Powerview Gateway is typically required to connect the shades to your home network for smart home integration.
Power Options
The shades come with a battery wand that holds 12 AA batteries. These can last up to a little over a year. It depends on the amount of use.
Upgrade:
You can upgrade to an LED rechargeable Battery Wand or internal rechargeable battery wand. These can by charged with a Single charger or a SOLAR charger. That’s right the sun keeps them charged!

Building
If you are building a new house and you have uppers that face East, South or West, you will want to cover them.
Especially from November to April when the sun is lower.
If this is the case, I would hardwire the windows. A 2-way wire is brought into the window in the top right corner, ran through the wall and usually out in the mechanical room where I use a DC power supply. This power supply plugs into an outlet. There are two choices, one will operate 16 shades and the other operates 32 shades. This is the way to go. They all move at the same speed and it’s clean and never have to charge or change anything out. Should you consider this please call and talk it over. I can help.
